The Starfish
A man was walking along the beach one day just after the high tide had receeded. He noticed hundreds of starfish had been washed too far ashore to make their way back to the ocean. He walked a little farther and saw a little girl gently picking up starfish one at a time and throwing them back into the ocean. He came over to her and he said "Why are you bothering? You can't possibly save them all. You're not really making a difference." The little girl looked up at him, holding a starfish in her hand and said "It makes a difference to this one." and she tossed the starfish back into the ocean and then leaned down to gently lift up another one.
Whomever saves one life saves the world."
If you ever feel that all the good you do in this world makes no difference, always remember that it does.
